Brazilian Hammocks

Swings N' Things is the exclusive importer for many of these fine cloth hammocks, hand-crafted by a family run co-op of weavers renowned throughout Brazil for their workmanship. Normally available only in Brazil, Swings N' Things has been able to acquire these beautiful hammocks for our customers throughout the past fifteen years. Brazilian hammocks are synonymous with relaxation and quality of life. They are extremely comfortable and elegant in appearance, with thick cotton bodies that add warmth and comfort for those colder nights! Most of these hammocks are adorned with crochet or macrame fringes, creating a decorative look suitable for indoor use. From raw material to finished product, no detail has been neglected in ensuring that these hammocks are of the finest quality available.
 

Nicaraguan Hammocks

These authentic double-sprang-woven Nicaraguan hamacas by Nicamaka are made from garment-grade, factory-dyed 100% polyester and 50/50 polycotton yarns. These amazing hammocks cradle you in comfort without the instability and coarseness of common rope or fabric spreader-bar hammocks. These are true hamacas, produced for centuries by Central America artisans and up-dated with quality materials. Mayan Hammocks

Mayan hammocks have long been considered the world's strongest and most comfortable hammocks! While using very thin cord (as much as TWO MILES per hammock) these hammocks are so tightly woven that the weight within them is evenly distributed throughout the hammock, providing not only extreme comfort, but superior strength! Quilted Fabric Hammocks

Relax...a Pawleys Island Quilted hammock can suspend you (and a friend!) in cushioned comfort, while its breakthrough quick-drying Duracord® fiber technology offers twice the life of the best polyester fabric hammocks. Crafted of two layers of soft, durable solution dyed acrylic fabric with UV protectant and 1" polyester batting fill for premium comfort, this hammock offers superior fade, mildew and stain resistance, with long lasting Duracord® rope supporting the fabric bed. Double-sided fabric (stripes or pattern on one side & solid flip-side) allows for reversible preference. Poly-bonded thread is used in quilting for durability and strength. Hammock edges are bound with additional fabric to ensure strength of quilted bed. Rust-free decorative brass grommets span 2 1/2" apart for even distribution of fabric bed. Spreader bars are constructed of solid oak for premium durability and strength, and are triple dipped in marine spar varnish to lengthen life. Eased edges of spreader ensure safety, and design enhances gentle rocking motion. Heavy-duty zinc chromate rust-resistant hanging hardware included with every Pawleys Island hammock.
 

Poolside / Quickdry Hammocks

The body of each Poolside Collection hammock combines the durability and strength of vinyl coated polyester or Duracord® yarn with the vivid hues and soft band of solution-dyed acrylic. Each single-layered sling is soft and body hugging while weather resistant and water repellent, perfect for waterfront or homefront. Relax in it wet to dry, and it provides full body support with cool ventilation. Solid oak spreaders. Double-size bed. Hanging hooks and chains included!
